E-mail Aliases

Alias is a forwarding email address that allows you to send and receive emails from several different email addresses in one inbox. For example, one person, John (john@smallbiz.com) who is responsible for separate mailboxes – sales@smallbiz.com and info@smallbiz.com, can simply create email aliases (one for sales and one for info) and receive all mails sent to those addresses in his personal inbox. With Oxxy's Email Service you can create as much aliases as you wish, no matter which of our premium subscriptions you use.

To add an alias to you email account:

  • Click on Account settings, then Mail Boxes.
  • Go to the second tab on the left called Create E-Mail Alias.
  • Under E-Mail Alias write the primary email alias and choose the domain name, set up to the relevant email account.
  • Choose the recipient's email address of your email alias from the drop-down menu or add and external email recipients.
  • Click on Create to add the alias.

There is one more way to create an email alias:

  • Click on Account settings, then Mail Boxes.
  • Go to the second tab called E-Mail Accounts where you will find all of your email boxes.
  • Use the search filter below to find the relevant email account.
  • Click on the email address to open its settings, or select the settings icon under Options.
  • Click on Add Alias.
  • Write the primary email alias under Email Alias and choose the domain name, set up to the relevant email account.
  • Choose the recipient's email address of your email alias from the drop-down menu.
  • Click on Add Alias to save the changes.

To manage E-mail aliases:

  • Click on Account settings, then Mail Boxes.
  • Go to the tab called E-Mail Aliases, which is located next to the tab E-Mail Accounts.
  • Use the search filter below to find the relevant email alias.
  • Click on the alias address to open its settings, or select the settings icon under Options.
    • View Recipients – here you can view all recipients assigned to your alias. Note that if you have just one recipient, the only option is to delete your alias. If you have created two or more recipients, you can delete them by clicking on the Delete Recipient button next to each email address.
    • Add Recipients – from here you can add more recipients to your email alias. You can either choose an email account from the drop-down menu or add an external email recipient.
    • Delete Alias – from here you can delete your email alias. Keep in mind that this will automatically stop the delivering of incoming emails to its recipients.
